My Medical Journey & Treatment Report

2. Detailed Medical Chronology

February 2026: Emergency Admission & Stabilization

• February 24 – 26, 2026: Admitted to the University of Maryland Capital Region Medical Center (Largo) due to acute internal bleeding.

• Interventions: Received a 3-bottle blood transfusion and underwent an Interventional Radiology (IR) procedure to control the bleeding.

• Underlying Factors: At the time of admission, was taking prescribed blood thinners. This medication followed a prior cardiac Catherization and placement of one coronary stent performed at the University of Maryland Capital Region Health Medical Center on November 5^th 2025.

March – April 2026: Referral & Initial Diagnostics

• Primary Care Follow-up: Followed up with Primary Care Physician (PCP), Dr. Vaughn Powell, who provided a referral to Gastroenterology Dr. Jenny Zhang.

• April 21, 2026: Underwent an MRI scan as referred by Dr. Zhang.

• Oncology Referral: Based on the MRI findings, Dr. Zhang referred the case to Oncologist Dr. Dong Kim at Maryland Oncology Hematology.

May 2026: Diagnostic Testing & Staging

• May 6, 2026: Underwent a CT scan ordered by Dr. Kim.

• May 7, 2026: Underwent a Colonoscopy and Colon Biopsy.

• May 8, 2026: Underwent a Liver Biopsy based on the previous day's CT results.

• May 13, 2026: Had a chemotherapy port inserted at Adventist Health Care White Oak Medical Center in preparation for systemic treatment.

• Diagnosis: Biopsy results confirmed malignancy in both the colon and the liver, resulting in a Stage 4 Cancer diagnosis.

June – July 2026: Chemotherapy & Ongoing Monitoring

• June 1, 2026: Initiated a biweekly chemotherapy regimen at Adventist Health Care White Oak Medical Center.

• Chemotherapy Schedule:

  • Cycle 1: June 1, 2026

  • Cycle 2: June 15, 2026 plus Immunotheraphy

  • Cycle 3: June 29, 2026 plus Immunotheraphy

  • Cycle 4: Scheduled for July 13, 2026

• July 10, 2026: Underwent an Advanced CT scan ordered by Dr. Kim to monitor treatment efficacy and progress.
